Prepaid phone questions?

i have a samsung sch-u340 it is deactivated that was a great phone(to me anyways) but the only thing that sucked about it was that it was prepaid...and im just wondering if i could change it so its not prepaid...like can i add it to a plan or something so that its not prepaid anymore?
