Where, oh where can I find a prom dress?

Hi all: I would like to start looking for a prom dress. The problem is, where? I do not want to wear a fluorescent polyester nightmare. I've already tried Anthropologie, UO, J. Crew, and eDressMe. Please help. Much, much thanks in advance.
