Q & A Names & Symbols?

How can I get my whole nic to show through in the Q&A? I've noticed that some ppl have real long nic's with little designs and such and their whole nic shows through. Mine only shows part of my nic, it doesn't show the whole thing. How do I get those cutesy little symbols that I see some ppl use?
