Would this be considered a police record?

for instance if a son or daughter got called the police on by a parent for causing disturbance in the house and being rude and mean and all and the police took the name of the person and then says its not our problem u need to take ur son/daughter sumwhere where they can fix their misbevhavior and they left, wud tat be on like ur record or sumthing? question for a friend.
